LANCASTER, Pa. — Washington College sophomore outside hitter Abby Smith (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for volleyball for the week ending October 21st.
Smith averaged 4.00 kills, 2.83 digs, and 0.50 aces per set while hitting .233 in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen. In a three-set win over Immaculata on Tuesday, she had a match-high 14 kills and added eight digs while hitting .310. On Friday, in a 3-0 victory at Alvernia, she had 10 kills to tie for match-high honors and added nine digs, while also tying for match-high honors in aces with three.
This is Smith's first career Centennial Conference Player of the Week honor.
