Young Joins A. Sabatino, Scott as Women's Soccer Captains

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Senior defender Lexi Young (Hardwick, N.J./North Warren Regional) joins returning captains, senior defender Steph Scott (Tustin, Calif./Beckham) and junior midfielder Arianna Sabatino (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollows Hills West), as the captains of the 2017 Washington College women's soccer team.

Young is a two-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll qualifier. She has made 18 starts in 36 career games and has tallied one career goal and two career assists.  

Scott qualified for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll last season. She has made 30 starts in 31 career games at Washington College after making 14 starts in 15 games as a freshman at Sweet Briar. She has scored four goals at Washington after tallying one goal and three assists at Sweet Briar. 

Sabatino is coming off a strong sophomore season which saw her earn All-Centennial Conference honorable mention, Team MVP, and Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition. She has started all 31 games she has played at Washington College and has seven career goals and three career assists to her credit.

The Shorewomen will kick off the season, their 20th as a varsity program and first under head coach Tom Reilly, Friday with a 7 p.m. non-conference game at Wesley.
