Four Shorewomen to Serve as Women's Soccer Captains

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Senior forward Paige Cahoon (Port Murray, N.J./Warren Hills), sophomore defender/midfielder Arianna Sabatino (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollows Hills West), junior defender Steph Scott (Tustin, Calif./Beckham), and senior midfielder Laura Tocci (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) will serve as the captains of the Washington College women's soccer team for the upcoming 2016 season. 

Cahoon is a two-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll qualifier. She made 10 starts in 14 games played last season and helped a defense that held opponents to a 1.59 goals-against average. 

Sabatino tallied a pair of assists in her first collegiate season a year ago. She was one of three Shorewomen to start all 16 games.

Scott's first season after transferring to Washington College from Sweet Briar saw her take six shots in 16 games, 15 of them starts.

Tocci was named her team's Most Valuable Player a year ago, two years after earning Most Improved Player honors. She picked up an assist in a 6-0 win against Immaculata and made 10 starts in 11 games played.

The Shorewomen will open their 2016 season at home on September 11th, playing a 7:00 p.m. game against Rosemont.
