SWARTHMORE, Pa. – #11 Swarthmore's Marin McCoy scored two goals and assisted on another score as Swarthmore downed visiting Washington College, 5-0, at Clothier Field in a Centennial Conference women's soccer match on Wednesday evening. The Garnet improve to 10-0-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen fall to 3-5-1 and 0-3-0 respectively. The contest was called with 18:44 to go due to issues with the lights.

How It Happened
-Swarthmore broke onto the board 9:20 into the contest when Marin McCoy received a through pass from Hannah Lichtenstein and slipped the shot into the lower left of the goal from the top of the 18 on a break.
-McCoy made it a two-goal lead 4:59 later when she headed in a corner kick off the foot of Melissa Trofa.
-In the second half, Caroline Khanna made it 3-0 when she grabbed a loose ball off of a corner kick and scored on a shot to the upper right 90 at 51:53.
-Just 3:05 later Swarthmore made it 4-0 when McCoy found Katie Dougherty on the right side of the six and Dougherty put it into the lower left.
-Mele Johnson scored on a free kick from about 25 yards out in the 67th minute for Swarthmore to round out the scoring.

-In Goal: Melissa Barry (5 goals allowed, 6 saves, 71:44)
-The Shorewomen had two shots and zero corner kicks in the contest.
