Silva Named Centennial Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week For Women’s Soccer

Wins Award For The First Time

LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore forward Emani Silva (Odenton, Md./Arundel) has been named the Centennial Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer for the week of September 28-October 4 by the conference office.  This is the first time that Silva has won the conference's weekly award.  Silva, who shared the award with McDaniel's Nicole Hill, is the first Washington College player to win the conference's award since Megan Russell '08 garnered the offensive player of the week award on September 25, 2006.

The sophomore tied the Washington College program mark for assists in a single-match with three and added two goals for a seven-point night in the Shorewomen's 6-0 victory over Immaculata on Tuesday, September 29. Silva factored into the first five goals as she scored on the third and fifth goals and assisting on the first, second and fourth scores. The seven points and three helpers are career-highs for the sophomore and she tied her personal best for goals in a contest with two.
