Women's Soccer to Host Springtime Fun Event Friday Benefitting Ovarian Cancer Research

CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Do you like baseball, food, music, and outdoor games? The Washington College women's soccer team is hosting an event this Friday, April 24th, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. outside Sassafras Hall, next to Athey Park.

There will be cornhole games, trashcan pong, wiffle-ball home run derby, water balloons, and plenty of space for people to throw a football or kick a soccer ball around. The event costs $5.00 per person for an unlimited amount of games and food will also be available for purchase at an additional cost. The proceeds from the event will benefit ovarian cancer research and early screening tests for women.

The event runs concurrent with the baseball team's Senior Day game against Johns Hopkins, which begins at 3:30 p.m., so fans will have the chance to support the Shoremen while having some fun and raising money for a good cause in the process.
