Barry Makes Career-Best 15 Saves
CARLISLE, Pa. – Host #22 Dickinson raced out to a 3-0 halftime lead en route to a 4-0 win over visiting Washington College at Miller Field on Saturday afternoon in a Centennial Conference women's soccer match. The Red Devils improve to 11-2-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen fall to 3-8-2 and 0-5-1 respectively.
Nicole Fronsdahl got the Red Devils on the board at the 25:45 mark on an unassisted goal and began a stretch of three goals in an 8:40 span of the first half. The hosts made it 2-0 at 31:11 on a goal by Andrea Caya on a pass from Cate Magule and Caya assisted on a score by Allie Young at 34:25 to cap the three-goal run.
Magule capped the scoring at the 67:24 mark of the second half on a penalty kick.
Dickinson held a 31-5 advantage in shots and had all nine corners in the contest.
Charlotte Armour and Amanda Masterson teamed up to post the shutout for Dickinson with Masterson making the lone save for the hosts. For the Shorewomen, sophomore goalkeeper Melissa Barry (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) made a career-best 15 saves.
On Wednesday night, the Shorewomen are at Ursinus for a 7:30 p.m. conference match.
