CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- The Washington College women's rowing coaching staff has announced that rising seniors Krystal Brostek (Galloway, N.J./Absegami) and Ashley Myles (Chester Springs, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and rising junior Jennie Knapp (Vineland, N.J./Our Lady of Mercy) will serve as the team's captains for the 2014-15 academic year.
Brostek will be serving as a captain for the second year in a row. She spent much of this past spring in the seven seat of the Shorewomen's second varsity eight, but rowed in the same seat in the first varsity eight at the NCAA Division III Championships.
Myles was the bow of the Shorewomen's first varsity eight this past spring. She was named the team's Most Improved Rower in 2013 and has earned Shorewoman of the Week honors four times as a member of the first varsity eight over the past two years.
Knapp was the bow of the Shorewomen's second varsity eight this past spring, competing at the NCAA Division III Championships.
The 2013-14 Shorewomen finished sixth at the NCAA Division III Championships for the second year in a row and won their second consecutive Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Championships.
