    The sixth-ranked Washington College women's rowing team finished sixth overall with 17 total points at the 2014 NCAA Division III Championships, held Friday and Saturday on Eagle Creek Reservoir today in Indianapolis. The Shorewomen's I Eight won its repechage by less than a second and finished sixth in the grand final of its event. Washington's II Eight was second in its petite final to take sixth overall in its event.

    The ninth-ranked Washington College competed at the ECAC National Invitational Rowing Championships today on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. Eleven of the current 15 nationally-ranked Division III teams competed at the regatta, including all of the top 10. The Shorewomen's first varsity eight advanced to its grand final and placed sixth overall.

If today's racing in the women's collegiate eight at the Head of the Occoquan in Lorton, Va., is any indication, the rivalry between the Shorewomen and Pioneers is picking up right where it left off last spring.

    The Washington College women's rowing team competed at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta today in Philadelphia. As one of only three Division III crews in the women's championship eight, the Shorewomen turned in a strong finish, placing 11th of 20 boats in 16:44.65.

    Tomorrow's Occoquan Chase rowing regatta in Lorton, Va., has been canceled. The heavy rains in the Mid-Atlantic region this week have flooded the course on the Occoquan Reservoir with debris. The Washington College men's and women's rowing teams were scheduled to open their fall racing seasons at the regatta.
