    The Washington College sailing team closed out its fall season by finishing seventh of 15 teams at the Luce Regatta, hosted by Hobart/William Smith this weekend.

    Senior sailor Will Sunkler is this week's Shoreman of the Week. Sunkler skippered WC to a first-place finish in B Division, helping the team to a third-place overall finish at the Washington College Fall Open.
  • Washington College Sailing Takes Third in Washington College Fall Open

    The Washington College sailing team finished third of 13 teams as the host school of the Washington College Fall Open this weekend on the Chester River. The performance at the regatta, which was the final Central Series regatta of the fall, gave Washington a strong enough Central Series performance to qualify for next weekend’s Luce Regatta. The Washington College sailing team was also represented at Hobart/William Smith’s inter-conference David Lee Arnoff Trophy this weekend, placing 12th of 13 teams. 
  • WC Sailing Places 7th at Nevins Trophy

    The Washington College sailing team finished seventh of 18 teams at the Nevins Trophy, hosted by Merchant Marine, this weekend. It was the team’s best finish at the Nevins Trophy since 2004 when Washington placed fifth of 20 teams.

    Freshman sailor Stewart Gurnell is this week's Shoreman of the Week. Gurnell skippered Washington to a first-place finish in B Division as the team placed second overall at The John Quinn over the weekend.

    Freshman skipper Stewart Gurnell and senior crew Andrew Vernon won B Division in dominating fashion to lead the Washington College sailing team to a second-place finish overall among 12 teams at The John Quinn, hosted by Monmouth, this weekend. Washington finished just one-point behind Princeton in the overall team standings. Elsewhere this weekend, Washington College also placed ninth of nine teams at William & Mary’s Kingsmill Cup.

    The Washington College sailing team opened its 2019-20 regatta scheduled by finished 11th of 17 teams at the Riley Cup, hosted by Old Dominion, this weekend.
  • Sailing Season Preview

    The Washington College sailing team showed significant progress last season, head coach Bradley Adam’s first running the program. The team qualified for the War Memorial (the MAISA Fall Co-Ed Dinghy Championships) for the first time in three years and the America Trophy (the MAISA Spring Co-Ed Dinghy Championships) for the first time in two years. In year two under Adam, Washington welcomes in a strong recruiting class and welcomes back most of last year’s roster.
