Sophomore skipper Hannah Schmidt (Trappe, Md./Easton) sailed with freshman crew Maura Matthews (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Ten races in each division sailed on Saturday. Only two races in each division were sailed Sunday before the regatta was stopped due to excessive winds and unsafe conditions. 13th-ranked St. Mary's won the regatta, followed by 20th-ranked Fordham in second and 15th-ranked Navy in third.
Next weekend, the Washington College sailing team will compete at the Kings Point Dinghy Open, hosted by Merchant Marine.
