Shoremen Open Fall at Occoquan Challenge

LORTON, Va. — The Washington College men's rowing team opened its fall regatta schedule at the Occoquan Challenge in Lorton, Va., today.

How It Happened 
- The Shoremen were fourth of six boats in the men's champ and club eight, racing exclusively against crews from Division I schools. Their finish time was 14:51.91.
- The Shoremen placed eighth of 10 crews in the men's champ and club four in 17:51.06, racing mostly against crews from Division I schools.
- The Shoremen placed fifth of six crews in the men's freshman/novice eight in 20:40.40.
- Shoremen rowers also joined up with members of the Washington College women's rowing team to comprise the only two entrants in the mixed champ eight. The "A" boat finished first in 16:26.77, while the "B" boat, comprised of all freshmen, placed second in 16:53.22.
