CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The Washington College men's rowing team finished second of five teams in the final points standings in the Washington College Invitational today on the Chester River.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen's first varsity eight won its heat in 6:06.36 to advance to the grand final, narrowly edging out Franklin & Marshall, who finished in 6:07.97. The Shoremen were then second in the grand final in 5:54.34. Villanova won the grand final in 5:36.97.
- The Shoremen's second varsity eight was third in its three-boat race in 6:25.18. Catholic won the race in 6:04.14, while Villanova was second in 6:23.34.
- The Shoremen's "A" and "B" boats in the varsity four placed third and fifth, respectively. Franklin & Marshall won the race, followed by Villanova in second. Catholic placed fourth.

- Villanova claimed the points trophy with 123. The Shoremen finished with 118 points, followed by F&m with 77, St. Mary's with 64, and Catholic with 50.
