CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The Washington College men's and women's soccer teams have both qualified to receive a College Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for the 2014-15 academic year.
College soccer teams whose team grade-point averages are 3.0 or above for the 2014-15 academic year are eligible for the award. Washington College is one of 208 schools across all divisions to have both its men's and women's teams recognized this year. Johns Hopkins is the only other Centennial Conference institution to have both of its teams receive the honor for 2014-15.
This is the second consecutive and fourth overall (2001, 2002, 2014) College Team Academic Award for the Shorewomen. This is the second College Team Academic Award for the Shoremen, who previously earned the distinction in 2010.
