The coxswain and eight rowers from the women's rowing team's second varsity eight share this week's Shorewoman of the Week honor. The second varsity eight finished second in the Division III varsity heavyweight eight at the Dad Vail Regatta.
With the Shorewomen's first varsity eight competing in the open heavyweight varsity eight, the second varsity eight raced against four Division III varsity eights and one Division III second varsity eight. The Shorewomen's second-place time of 6:49.641 was second only to Vassar's first varsity eight. They finished ahead of first varsity eights from Bryn Mawr, Stockton, and North Park and ahead of 13th-ranked Coast Guard's second varsity eight.
The Shorewomen's second varsity eight consisted of senior coxswain Emily Booth (Camden, Del./Caesar Rodney) and the following rowers, from stroke to bow: freshman Caroline Jackson (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck), sophomore Annie Krysztofiak (Paoli, Pa./Delaware Valley Friends School), freshman Analiese Bush (Media, Pa./Penncrest), sophomore Emma Dodsworth (Port Republic, Md./Calvert), freshman MB Spargo (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty), freshman Julia Kuchnio (Trappe Md./Easton), freshman Ana Gansz (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown Community), and freshman Kitri Post (Savnnah, Ga./Savannah Christian Prep).
