The coxswain and eight rowers from the women's rowing team's second varsity eight share this week's Shorewoman of the Week honor. The second varsity eight won the Division II/III varsity eight at the Murphy Cup on Saturday.
With the Shorewomen's first varsity eight competing up in the Division I varsity eight, the second varsity eight raced against one Division II second varsity eight, two Division III first varsity eights, and one Division III second vartsity eight - and beat them all. The Shorewomen's winning time was 7:55.70, edging out Division II Thomas Jefferson's second varsity eight by eight one-hundredths of a second.
The Shorewomen's second varsity eight consisted of senior coxswain Emily Booth (Camden, Del./Caesar Rodney) and the following rowers, from stroke to bow: freshman Caroline Jackson (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck), sophomore Annie Krysztofiak (Paoli, Pa./Delaware Valley Friends School), freshman MB Spargo (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty), freshman Tegan McBride (Waterbury, Conn./Westover School), freshman Analiese Bush (Media, Pa./Penncrest), sophomore Agnes Anderson (Ulster Park, N.Y./Kingston), freshman Ana Gansz (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown Community), and freshman Kitri Post (Savnnah, Ga./Savannah Christian Prep).
