Green Terror Sweeps Shorewomen
Forget Tallies 10 Kills in Loss

WESTMINSTER, MD -- Host McDaniel College swept visiting Washington College, 25-16, 25-18, 25-23, in a Centennial Conference volleyball match this afternoon in Westminster, MD. The Green Terror improved to 11-15 overall and 4-4 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen slipped to 11-16 and 0-8 with the loss.

McDaniel hit .289 as a team in the match, including a .500 mark (13 kills, one error, 24 attempts) in the opening set. Washington held a 12-5 lead in the second set before the Green Terror went on a 20-6 run to win the set. McDaniel scored the last six points of the third set to come away with the win.

Taylor Herrgott pounded down 11 kills against two errors in 20 attempts for McDaniel, while Sara Hanlon had four block solos and four block assists.

Freshman outside hitter Alyssa Forget (River Vale, NJ/Pascack Valley) led Washington with 10 kills, while senior libero Arielle Brown (Merion, PA/Lower Merion) had a match-high 19 digs in the loss.

The Shorewomen return to action Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Bryn Mawr.
