Blue Jays Fly Past Shorewomen in Three
Brown Tallies 22 Digs in Loss

BALTIMORE, MD -- Host Johns Hopkins University swept visiting Washington College, 25-11, 25-16, 25-14, in a Centennial Conference volleyball match tonight in Baltimore. The Blue Jays improved to 18-5 overall and 6-1 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 11-15 and 0-7 with the loss.

The Blue Jays hit .240 as a team in the match as Brittany Zimmer led a balanced attack with seven kills and one error in 15 attempts. Amanda Lewis had 24 assists and 12 digs for Hopkins.

Senior libero Arielle Brown (Merion, PA/Lower Merion) led all players with 22 digs for Washington, while freshman outside hitter Alyssa Forget (River Vale, NJ/Pascack Valley) had a team-best five kills.

The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference match at McDaniel.
