Bullets Pierce Shorewomen in Three
Crum and Brown With Match-Best 11 Digs Each

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visting Gettysburg College downed host Washington College on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference volleyball action, 3-0 (25-10, 25-15, 25-12), at the Cain Athletic Center. The Bullets improved to 13-10 overall and 5-1 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 11-14 and 0-6 respectively.

Gettysburg hit .244 as a team in the victory on 28 kills and just eight attack errors in 82 attack attempts. Amanda Krampf had 11 assists along with five kills in only seven attack attempts. The Bullets racked up 10 service aces and five blocks on the afternoon.

Seniors, outside hitter Chelsea Crum (Newark, DE/Charter School of Wilmington) and libero Arielle Brown (Merion, PA/Lower Merion) each had 11 digs to lead all players. Junior setter Caitlin Ward (Wantagh, NY/Holy Trinity) had a match-high 19 assists, and added eight digs. Crum and freshman outside hitter Alyssa Forget (River Vale, NJ/Pascack Valley) had seven kills apiece to lead the Shorewomen, with Forget hitting a team-best .250.

The Shorewomen return to action Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference road match at Johns Hopkins.
