Fall 2008 Season Begins August 29th
Soccer, Volleyball, Field Hockey Open this Month
Washington College field hockey, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball student-athletes return to campus August 16th to start preseason. Two weeks later, all four squads will open their 2008 seasons during the last weekend of the month. Both soccer teams kick off their respective schedules on Friday, August 29th, while the field hockey and volleyball teams open their seasons the next day.

Kurtz Named to All-CC Sportsmanship Team
Four Washington College student-athletes have been named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team for fall sports. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student from each fall program who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship. Nominations were submitted by the athletic departments or head coaches. This is the first year of the All-Centennial Sportsmanship team, which was proposed by the conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Senior Mallory Kurtz (Willow Grove, PA/St. Basil Academy) represented Washington's volleyball team.
