Shorewomen Top Red Devils, 6-3
Bull Wins 6-0, 6-1, at No. 2 Singles

CARLISLE, PA -- Visiting Washington College posted a 6-3 Centennial Conference women's tennis victory over host Dickinson College today in Carlisle, PA. The Shorewomen, ranked ninth in the Atlantic South region, improved to 8-8 overall and 6-3 in conference play with the win, while the Red Devils fell to 7-8 and 3-4.

Washington won at No. 1 and No. 3 in doubles. Junior Allison Daciek (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) and freshman Kellie Foster (Lothian, MD/St. Mary's), ranked 27th in doubles in the region, posted an 8-3 win at No. 1, while sophomore Kristen Hossick (Ashton, MD/Mount de Sales Academy) and sophomore Rebecca Davis (Maplewood, NJ/Columbia) recorded an 8-2 win at No. 3.

Washington added four singles wins in the 6-3 victory. Daciek, ranked 31st in the region in singles, won, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1, while sophomore Lydia Bull (Berkeley Heights, NJ/Kent Place School) was a 6-0, 6-1, winner at No. 2. Foster added a 6-3, 6-2, victory at No. 4, while freshman Carrie Palmer (Dallas, TX/Greenhill School) notched a 6-4, 6-2, win at No. 5.

The Shorewomen return to action tomorrow with a 2:00 p.m. non-conference match against Mary Washington, the 10th-ranked team in Division III.
