In singles, Browder, ranked sixth in the region in singles, picked up a win at No. 1 by defeating Ross, ranked 14th regionally in singles, 7-5, 6-0. Washington head coach Constantine Ananiadis noted the importance of Browder and Nakamura's win in doubles. "Ne'ko and Shoko beat a very good doubles team today by a convincing margin. That should certainly help their chances at a berth in the NCAA Division III Doubles Championships." The loss was the fifth in a row for the Shorewomen, but Ananiadis has been pleased with the play of his team. "Although we've taken some losses recently, our play has significantly improved. We look forward to winning our last three dual matches of the season." The Shorewomen (6-8, 3-5 Centennial) are back in action Monday with a 3:30 pm. Centennial Conference match at Bryn Mawr.
