Shorewomen Flood Gophers, 119-73
Glasser Wins Three Individual Events

TOWSON, MD - Sophomore Rachel Glasser (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) won three individual events as the Washington College women's swim team ran its non-conference win streak to 52 meets with a 119-73 win over host Goucher tonight in Towson, MD.

Glasser won the 1000 freestyle (11:05.42), 100 butterfly (1:01.73), and 500 freestyle (5:35.51). Junior Kathy Gerhart (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville Area) captured the 200 freestyle (2:03.16) and 100 freestyle (57.24), while freshman Jenna Moore (Catonsville, MD/Mount de Sales) finished first in the 50 freestyle (25.71) and swam the fastest time in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.92) as an exhibition entrant. Freshman Kelly Dunbar (Williamsburg, VA/Lafayette) added a first-place finish in the 400 individual medley in 4:57.10.

Junior Cailin Eisele (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township) was second in both the 50 freestyle (27.20) and 100 butterfly (1:04.03). Senior Kimber Shoemaker (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) took second in the 100 backstroke (1:05.94), freshman Mary Stroman (Bala Cynwyd, PA/Friends Central) was second in the 400 individual medley (5:11.06), and freshman Morgan Phillips (Charlottesville, VA/Albermarle) placed second in the 500 freestyle (5:46.17).

Shoemaker, Moore, Gerhart, and Stroman won the 200 medley relay in 1:56.18. Eisele, Phillips, freshman Laura Risell (Collegeville, PA/Perkiomen Valley), and freshmanEllen Liebenow (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge) swam the fastest time in the 200 freestyle relay (1:49.12) as an exhibition.

The Shorewomen (7-2) return to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. non-conference home meet against Elizabethtown.
