Shorewomen Swat Yellow Jackets, 146-59
Non-Conference Win Streak Improves to 46 Meets

CHESTERTOWN, MD - Host Washington College cruised to a 146-59 win over visiting Randolph-Macon in a non-conference women's swim meet this afternoon at Casey Swim Center. The Shorewomen improved to 8-1 on the season by winning their final non-conference meet of the year and ran their non-conference dual-meet win streak to 46 consecutive meets.

Senior Megan Morse (Easton, MD/Sts. Peter & Paul), sophomore Liz Thomas (Towson, MD/Notre Dam Prep), and freshman Rachel Glasser (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) each won two individual events as Morse took the 200 freestyle in 1:58.53 and the 100 freestyle in 54.78, Thomas won the 50 freestyle in 25.98 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.23, and Glasser was first in the 1000 freestyle in 10:59.91 and the 500 freestyle in 5:25.73. Sophomore Kathy Gerhart (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville Area) finished first in the 100 butterfly in 1:01.48, while sophomore Amy Smith (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville Area) captured the 100 backstroke in 1:04.64.

Washington also won both relay events as Smith, Thomas, Gerhart, and Morse won the 200 medley relay in a Washington College season-best time of 1:54.64, while Glasser, sophomore Cailin Eisele (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township), Smith, and senior Nicole Stanton (Columbia, MD/Hammond) won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:46.72.

Senior Nicole Ludwig (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan) finished second in both the 200 individual medley (2:24.87) and the 100 breaststroke (1:14.08). Gerhart added a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle (26.00), while Stanton was second in the 100 freestyle (57.84). Eisele's third-place time of 1:02.41 in the 100 butterfly made her the Shorewomen's 10th-fastest swimmer ever in that event.

The Shorewomen return to action next Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home meet against Dickinson.
