February 28, 2008 CHESTERTOWN, MD - Washington College freshman Rachel Glasser (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) and senior Megan Morse (Easton, MD/Sts. Peter & Paul) will compete at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, to be held March 13th-15th at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center in Oxford, OH. Glasser and Morse both swam NCAA Championship provisional qualifying times in multiple events at last weekend's Centennial Conference Championships. Glasser's time of 2:08.44 during the preliminaries of the 200 butterfly at the Centennial Championships made the cut for the NCAA Division III Championships, while Morse qualified via her gold-medal time of 1:54.77 in the 200 freestyle at the Centennial Conference Championships. By virtue of qualifying, Glasser and Morse are each allowed to enter up to three events at the NCAA Division III Championships. In addition to the 200 butterfly, Glasser is slated to compete in the 500 freestyle and 1650 freestyle. Morse will compete in the 100 and 500 freestyle events in addition to the 200 freestyle. |
