Shorewomen Pass Pioneers, 148-55
Morse Wins Three Individual Events

CHESTER, PA - The Washington College women's swim team improved to 3-2 this season with a 148-55 win over host Widener this evening in Chester, PA. Sophomore Megan Morse (Easton, MD/Sts. Peter & Paul) recorded three individual first-place finishes for the Shorewomen, who won every event.

Morse won the 200 freestyle in 2:02.1, the 100 freestyle in 55.92, and the 500 freestyle in 5:34.01. Junior Ally Simons (Camp Hill, PA/Cumberland Valley) won the 200 individual medley in 2:19.94 and the 200 butterfly in 2:19.42.

Junior Liz Shoemaker (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga), freshman Brittany Siburt (Stevensville, MD/Kent Island), sophomore Nicole Ludwig (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan), and junior Caitlin Auger (McLean, VA/McLean) each won one individual event. Shoemaker won the 200 backstroke in 2:17.72, Siburt won the 1000 freestyle in 11:32.3, Ludwig won the 200 breaststroke in 2:38.60, and Auger won the 50 freestyle in 26.01.

Shoemaker, freshman Andrea Cole (Felton, DE/Caesar Rodney), Simons, and junior Kimmy Kraeer (Denton, MD/North Caroline) won the 400 medley relay in 4:21.4. Auger, Shoemaker, sophomore Nicole Stanton (Columbia, MD/Hammond), and Kraeer won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:54.22.

The Shorewomen return to action December 10th with a 1:00 p.m. non-conference meet at Elizabethtown.
