| February 8, 2006 CHESTERTOWN, MD - Visiting Swarthmore College topped host Washington College, 113-92, in Centennial Conference women's swimming this evening at Casey Swim Center. The Shorewomen finish their dual meet season with an 8-4 overall record and a 3-4 record in conference meets. Sophomore Megan Morse (Easton, MD/Sts. Peter & Paul) won the 200 freestyle for Washington in 1:59.93 and was second in the 100 freestyle in 55.66. Sophomore Nicole Ludwig (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan) took first place in the 200 breaststroke in 2:34.90, while junior Liz Shoemaker (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) finished first in the 200 backstroke in 2:14.88. Junior Ally Simons (Camp Hill, PA/Cumberland Valley) swam WC season-best times in the 200 individual medley (2:15.15) and the 200 butterfly (2:15.79) to finish second in both events. Junior Caitlin Auger (McLean, VA/McLean) added a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:18.30), while freshman Andrea Cole (Felton, DE/Caesar Rodney) took second in the 200 breaststroke (2:39.58) and junior Erin Jones (Crofton, MD/Arundel) was second in the 500 freestyle (5:34.74). Junior Kimmy Kraeer (Denton, MD/North Caroline) placed second in the 50 freestyle (26.14) and freshman Brittany Siburt (Stevensville, MD/Kent Island) was second in the 1000 freestyle (11:20.98). The Shorewomen will compete at the Centennial Conference Championships February 17th-19th at Franklin & Marshall.
