2008 BOSTON, MA -- The Washington College women's rowing team competed in the club four at the Head of the Charles, the world's largest rowing regatta, this morning in Boston. The Shorewomen finished the three-mile course in 20:14.755, placing 14th of 39 boats. Junior Krista Jensen (Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) served as coxswain for the Shorewomen. Junior Ericka Malow (Brunswick, OH/Brunswick) sat stroke, senior Jenna Lapointe (Newark, DE/Newark) was in the three seat, junior Amy Smith (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville) was in the two seat, and sophomore Sarah Holland (Towson, MD/Notre Dame Prep) was the bow. The Shorewomen will host the Tapke Chase on the Chester River next Saturday. |
