Shorewomen Win Home Finale, 19-9
Lambert Paces Offense with Five Goals, Assist

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Host Washington College scored on its first nine shots of the game en route to a 19-9 Centennial Conference women's lacrosse victory over visiting Bryn Mawr this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shorewomen improved to 6-7 overall and 1-6 in conference play with the win, while the Owls fell to 3-11 and 0-8 with the loss.

The Shorewomen led 13-3 at halftime after scoring on all but three of their shots in the first half. Bryn Mawr scored the first three goals of the second half to trim the margin to seven, but would get no closer.

Senior midfielder Brittany Lambert (Riva, MD/South River) led Washington with five goals and an assist in the victory. Sophomore attacker Sarah Cannon (Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame Prep) added three goals and two assists, while freshman attacker Kalli Parrish (Timonium, MD/McDonogh) scored three goals of her own. Junior midfielder Allie Hanzsche (Catonsville, MD/Mount de Sales) and freshman attacker Liza Twilley (Salisbury, MD/Salisbury School) each scored two goals, while freshman attacker Rachel Bartee (Mt. Airy, MD/South Carroll), junior midfielder Whitney Donald (Kingsville, MD/John Carroll), sophomore midfielder Caitlin Morrison (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood), and junior midfielder Trista Sturdivant (Street, MD/John Carroll) each scored one. Sophomore midfielder Sam Ohrem (Ridgefield, CT/Ridgefield) and junior attacker Catherine Habel (Gaithersburg, MD/Watkins Mill) each had one assist. Habel's was the first of her collegiate career. WC sophomore goalie Amber Madore (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake) played the first half for the Shorewomen, making six saves and allowing three goals. Junior Tara Hart (Baltimore, MD/Garrison Forest) played the second half, making seven saves and allowing six goals.

Natalie Chrismer paced the Owls with three goals, while Georgia Lawrence and Gabrielle Marangell each scored twice. Evan Schneider and Katie Kellom added one goal each.

Washington held a 31-24 advantage in shots in the game and controlled 19 of the game's 29 draws.

The Shorewomen return to action Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Swarthmore.
