19, 2003 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College women's lacrosse team posted its second shutout this season and its second shutout ever this afternoon, blanking visiting Dickinson, 17-0, in a Centennial Conference game at Shriver Field. Freshman goalie Ashley Crisler (Manchester, MD/North Carroll) made 10 saves in the win for the Shorewomen (11-3 overall, 6-2 Centennial Conference). Junior attacker Casey Sawma (Conway, MA/Stoneleigh-Burnham) scored five goals in the win, while senior attacker Paige Heller (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) recorded four assists and junior midfielder Minta Sayres (East Haddam, CT/Westminster School) scored four goals. Freshman midfielder Emmy Hyde (Gaithersburg, MD/Watkins Mill) added three goals and senior attacker Tracy Smet (Glastonbury, CT/Glastonbury) scored two goals and added one assist. Senior midfielder Kristen Bozzella (Harwood, MD/Southern) scored two goals, including the final goal of the game as time expired. That goal was the Shorewomen's 213th of the season, breaking the school single-season record of 212 set in 2000. Junior attacker Janet Studdiford (Wyndmoor, PA/Springside School) tied Washington's single-season ground ball record with her 61st ground ball of the season. Dickinson slipped to 2-8 overall and 1-5 in conference play with the loss. The Shorewomen, who blanked Bryn Mawr, 17-0, on March 29th, travel to Ursinus for a 1:00 p.m. game next Saturday. BOX SCORE
