Tancredi Breaks Single Game Assists Record in Opener

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Host Washington College set team records for goals in a game and margin of victory and sophomore midfielder Kelly Tancredi (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) scored two goals and handed out a single-game school record four assists as the Shorewomen blanked visiting Notre Dame (MD), 13-0, in the 2007 field hockey opener for both schools today on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium.

Junior attack Candace Gaull (Laurel, DE/Laurel) added a goal and two assists, while sophomore defender Courtney Clemmens (Baltimore, MD/Towson) and junior midfielder Amy Spadanuta (Hackettstown, NJ/Warren Hills) had one goal and one assist each. Junior attack/midfielder Jaimie Barlow (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) and freshman attack Danielle Rosato (Narvon, PA/Pequa Valley) each scored one goal, while freshman midfielder/defender Sara Rutkowski (Wernersville, PA/Conrad Weiser) tallied one assist.
