Bullets Best Shorewomen, 65-56
Slizofski Tallies 18 Points, 9 Rebounds in Loss

GETTYSBURG, PA – Host Gettysburg College held off a second-half rally by visiting Washington College to post a 65-56 Centennial Conference women's basketball victory this afternoon in Gettysburg, PA. The Bullets improved to 11-8 overall and 7-5 in Centennial play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 9-8 and 4-7 with the loss.

The Bullets took a 32-27 lead into halftime and held a 54-43 advantage with 9:26 remaining in the game. The Shorewomen then went on an 11-1 run to pull within a point following a lay-up by junior guard Jane O'Donnell (Cape May Court House, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) with 5:20 on the clock that made the score 55-54. The Bullets then ran off the next six points - all on baskets by Caitlin Moser - to surge ahead, 61-54, with 2:54 left. A pair of O'Donnell free throws with 2:44 remaining trimmed the margin to 61-56, but neither team would score again until a pair of Moser free throws with 1:22 remaining gave Gettysburg a 63-56 advantage and seal the win.

Moser finished with a game-high 27 points and seven rebounds for the Bullets. Laura Dadigan added 11 points and eight rebounds, while Mary Spicer dished out a game-high seven assists.

Senior guard Brianne Slizofski (Collegeville, PA/St. Pius X) paced the Shorewomen with 18 points and nine rebounds, while freshman guard Meghan Tait (Oxford, PA/Oxford Area) added 15 points. Freshman guard/forward Sally O'Donnell (Cape May Court House, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) blocked a career-high four shots.

The Shorewomen return to action Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Haverford.
