Shorewomen Recall Fords, 61-45
Washington Scores 27 Points Off 21 Haverford Turnovers

CHESTERTOWN, MD – Host Washington College scored 27 points off 21 Haverford College turnovers en route to a 61-45 Centennial Conference women's basketball victory tonight in Cain Athletic Center. The Shorewomen improved to 9-11 overall and 6-7 in conference play with the win, while the Fords fell to 3-17 and 0-14.

The Shorewomen used a 16-3 run during the first half to open up a 38-25 lead at halftime. Washington shot 54% from the field during the first 20 minutes. Washington led by at least 12 and by as many as 21 points during the second half.

Sophomore guard Jane O'Donnell (Cape May Court House, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) scored a team-high 14 points for the Shorewomen, while senior guard Elise Conway (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) added 10 points, a game-high eight assists, and five rebounds. Junior guard Brianne Slizofski (Collegeville, PA/Pius X) finished with seven points, seven rebounds, and a game-high three steals.

Brittany Lattisaw poured in a game-high 27 points for the Fords. She also pulled down six rebounds, handed out three assists, blocked three shots, and swiped two steals. Washington limited the damage from the rest of the Fords, however, as the other eight Haverford players to see time in the game combined for 18 points on 8-of-24 shooting from the field and 0-of-5 shooting at the free-throw line.

Washington shot 43% from the field in the game to Haverford's 37%. The Shorewomen enjoyed a 37-26 advantage on the boards, hauling down 13 offensive rebounds.

The Shorewomen are back in action Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Ursinus.
