Red Devils Best Shorewomen, 64-57
Conway Paces Washington with 16 Points, Nine Rebounds

CHESTERTOWN, MD – Visiting Dickinson College scored eight of the first nine points of the second half to take control of the game en route to a 64-57 Centennial Conference women's basketball win over host Washington College this afternoon in Cain Athletic Center. The Red Devils improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 2-2 and 0-2 with the loss.

The Red Devils never trailed in the game and held a 29-21 lead at the break. Dickinson's spurt to start the second half gave the Red Devils a 37-22 lead with 16:54 remaining following a lay-up by Alesha Sisco. The Red Devils lead stayed in double digits for over nine minutes. The Shorewomen were twice able to trim the lead down to five points late in the game, the second time on a lay-up and free throw by sophomore guard Jessica Jamrogowicz (Marlton, NJ/Bishop Eustace) with 42 seconds remaining. The Red Devils went 4-for-5 at the free throw line the rest of the way to seal the victory.

Laura Houseal and Carly Onkotz each scored 14 points for Dickinson. Houseal added eight rebounds and six assists, while Onkotz was 4-of-6 from three-point range. Brooke Muller supplied Dickinson with 13 points and six assists, while Sisco finished with 11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds off the bench.

Senior guard Elise Conway (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) led Washington with a game-high 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Jamrogowicz added nine points and five steals.

Dickinson shot 39% from the field in the game and 8-of-24 from three-point range. The Red Devils were also 14-of-17 at the free-throw line. Washington shot 32% from the field and missed all nine of its three-point attempts, but connected on 21-of-27 free throws. The Shorewomen also held a 40-36 advantage on the boards.

The Shorewomen return to action Tuesday with a 7:30 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Haverford.
