Shorewomen Win Top Four Singles, Top Two Doubles Spots
ORLANDO, Fla. — The Washington College women's tennis team, ranked 40th in Division III, topped Division II Bloomsburg University, 6-3, in a match played in Orlando, Fla., today. The Shorewomen improved to 3-0 on the season with the win, while the Huskies dropped to 1-3 with the loss.

- The Shorewomen posted shutouts at the top two doubles spots as Julie Lazer and Rachel Martinez blanked Cassidy Calimer and Vitoria Nery, 8-0, at No. 1, and MP Hubert and Krista Filiopoulos defeated Siena Cerra and Cassandra Wentz by the same score at No. 2.
- Chloe Berridge and Lizzy Schmidt notched an 8-6 win for Bloomsburg against Kiran Pant and Mariah Thomas at No. 3.
- The Shorewomen won at the top four spots in straight sets. Lazer downed Nery, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 1, Martinez defeated Calimer, 7-5, 6-3, at No. 2, Filiopoulos trumped Catherine Garrity, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 3, and Hubert blanked Wentz, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4.
- Berridge squeaked past Pant, 5-7, 6-1, 10-5, at No. 5 and Cerra beat Thomas, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 6 for Bloomsburg.
