Weaver Repeats as Centennial Conference Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Washington College sophomore April Weaver (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for women's tennis for the week ending March 16th. This is the second week in a row Weaver has won the award. 

Weaver rolled to a pair of wins in the Shorewomen's 8-1 victory at Virginia Wesleyan Tuesday. She posted a 6-0, 6-1, win at No. 1 singles and teamed with sophomore Marielle McIntyre (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) to record an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles. On Thursday, Weaver had a hand in both of Washington's points in a 5-2 loss at Christopher Newport. She was a 6-0, 6-0, winner at No. 1 singles and paired with McIntyre to contribute an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles.
