Five members of the Washington College women's lacrosse team have earned spots on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for spring sports. In addition, senior defender Olivia Hanley has been named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.

Four Shorewomen Named All-Conference
Four members of the Washington College women's lacrosse team have earned All-Centennial Conference honors in a vote conducted by the conference's 10 head coaches. Senior attacker Mollie Shipley (Denville, NJ/Morris Catholic) and sophomore midfielder Emily Hubley (West Chester, PA/Bayard Rustin) were named to the first team, while senior attacker Corinne Ziccardi (Baltmore, MD/Loch Raven) and senior goalie Stephanie Seibert (Clear Spring, MD/Mercersburg Academy [PA]) were named to the second team.

Lindsey Robinson recorded game-bests of four assists and seven points, along with three goals, as #5 Gettysburg downed visiting Washington College, 17-9, in the semifinal round of the Centennial Conference Women’s Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Clark Field in a rematch of last season’s conference championship game.

Shorewomen Hold Off Green Terror, 11-10, in Centennial Tournament First-Round Game
Host Washington College jumped out to a four-goal halftime lead and held off a valiant second-half effort by visiting McDaniel College en route to an 11-10 victory in the first round game of the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse Tournament tonight on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shorewomen, who improved to 13-4 with the win, advance to play top seed and defending Centennial Conference Champion Gettysburg in a semifinal game Saturday. The Green Terror dropped to 9-8 with the loss.

Shorewomen Take Care of Business To Earn Four Seed In Conference Tournament
Visiting Washington College broke open a 5-4 halftime lead with the first seven goals of the second half en route to a 13-6 victory over host McDaniel on Saturday afternoon at Gill Stadium in Centennial Conference women’s lacrosse action. Washington with the victory earned the four seed in the 2013 Centennial Conference Women’s Lacrosse Tournament and will host McDaniel, the five seed, on Wednesday.

The Seton Hill team was involved in a tragic bus accident Saturday which claimed the lives of their head coach Kristie Quigley, her unborn baby, and the bus driver, Anthony Guaetta.

Liebig Named Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

Visiting Washington College scored the first five goals of the second half en route to a 10-9 win over host Haverford in the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse Tournament's first round game tonight on Swan Field. With the win, the Shorewomen advanced to a Saturday date at top-seed Franklin & Marshall in a semifinal game.

Washington College head women's lacrosse coach Julika Blankenship has been named the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year in a vote conducted by the conference's head coaches. In addition, Washington senior attacker Sarah Cannon has been named to the All-Centennial Conference second team.

Washington College sophomore attacker Corinne Ziccardi (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven) has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse for the week ending April 10th. Ziccardi had seven goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen, who reached 10 wins in a season for the first time since 2004.

CHESTERTOWN, MD – The Washington College women’s lacrosse team ended a seven-year losing streak to Dickinson College with a 13-7 Centennial Conference home win over the Red Devils this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shorewomen improved to 10-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play with the win, while the Red Devils fell to 4-9 and 1-4 with the loss. The 10 wins mark the Shorewomen’s highest win total in a season since going 14-6 in 2003.
