Clark Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week

Earns The Conference's Weekly Award For The First Time

LANCASTER, Pa. – Washington College sophomore guard Caitlyn Clark (Media, Pa./Notre Dame de Namur) has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball for the week ending on January 2nd by the conference office.  This is the first time Clark has been selected for the award.

Clark averaged 14.5 points per game, 5.0 assists per game, 2.5 rebounds per contest and 1.5 steals per game in two games for the Shorewomen on December 19-20.  She scored a career-high 19 points and handed out five assists against Kalamazoo on December 20 to go along with a perfect 10-for-10 from the foul line.  The 10 made free throws were a career-high for Clark.  Versus Misericordia on December 19, she had 10 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals.  The sophomore led the Shorewomen in scoring in both games and had a 2.5-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

She is the first Shorewoman to win the conference's weekly award since Ali Grundy '17 was tabbed co-player of the week on January 9, 2017.

The Shorewomen are back in action on Saturday, January 6 at 3:00 p.m. versus #16 Muhlenberg.
