RALEIGH, N.C. — With freshman skippers sailing in both divisions, the Washington College sailing team placed sixth of 18 teams at the SailPack Oriental Interconference Regatta, hosted by North Carolina State, this weekend.

How it Happened
- Skipper Will Sunkler and crew Bridgette Hindt placed sixth in A Division for Washington. Sunkler and Hindt's individual race finishes were, in order, fifth, sixth, fifth, fourth, 10th, third, 10th, and ninth.
- Skipper Andrew Vernon and crew Ellie Lienert were seventh in B Division. They placed sixth, 10th, 12th, sixth, fourth, eighth, 10th, and seventh in the individual B Division races.

Notes
- Two separate groups from Jacksonville University's team placed first and second overall. Florida State was third, South Carolina fourth, and Drexel fifth.
- Four races in each division sailed on Saturday. Four more races in each division sailed on Sunday.
