Shoremen Drop Just Eight Total Games in Singles Play

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Washington College men's tennis team closed out its Spring Break trip to Orlando, Fla., with a 9-0 win over Illinois Wesleyan tonight. The Shoremen improved to 4-1 with the win, while the Titans dropped to 0-5 with the loss.

Doubles
- Justin Panepinto and Zack Novick got past Kurt Meyer and Calen Crim at No. 1, 8-6.
- Jeremy Novick and Luke Weaver were 8-2 winners against Ryan Yoo and Jimmy Kase at No. 2.
- Matt Katz and August Meriot bested Sid Saxena and Yash Thacker, 8-1, at No. 3.

Singles
- The Shoremen dropped just eight total games in singles play, shutting the Titans out at No. 5, where Jeremy Novick blanked Thacker, and at No. 6, where Meriot also kept Saxena from winning a game in either set.
- A pair of Shoremen won their singles matches by 6-1, 6-0, scores. Salisbury notched a win by that count against Meyer at No. 1, while Weaver did the same against Kase at No. 4.
- Zack Novick added a 6-2, 6-0, win against Yoo at No. 3, while Sandler beat Crim, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 2.
