Bilinski, Lee, Yocum to Serve as Men's Swimming Captains
CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Rising seniors Steven Bilinski (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven), Greg Lee (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial), and Austin Yocum (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) will serve as captains of the Washington College men's swim team for the 2014-15 season. Lee and Yocum will both be in their second years as captains.
Bilinski has been a strong contributer in butterfly and freestyle events for the Shoremen over his first three seasons. He tied for 13th in the 200 butterfly at the 2013 Centennial Conference Championships.
Lee, the school record holder in the 100 butterfly and member of four school-record relay teams, is a 10-time Centennial Conference Championship medalist and four-time All-Centennial Conference qualifier. He was named a 2013 CSCAA Scholar All-American and is a two-time team Most Valuable Swimmer and two-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll qualifier.
Yocum, the school record holder in the 200 freestyle and member of four school-record relay teams, is a four-time Centennial Conference Championship medalist and a 2013 All-Centennial Conference honorable mention in the 200 freestyle relay. He was named the team's Most Improved Swimmer in 2013.
The Washington College men's swim team went 9-1 in dual meets in 2013-14 and hauled in 10 medals and broke 10 school records at the 2014 Centennial Conference Championships. They will open their 2014-15 season November 1st with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference meet at Franklin & Marshall.
