Swim Teams Receive Scholar All-America Status

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- Both Washington College swim teams have been awarded Team Scholar All-America status for the Spring 2012 semester by the College Swimming Coaches Association. To qualify for the award, the team must finish with a team grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the spring semester.

The Washington College women's swim team recorded a team grade-point average of 3.27, while the Washington College men's swim team's grade-point average was 3.17. Dickinson and Franklin & Marshall were the only other Centennial Conference schools with both their men's and women's teams qualifying for the honor. McDaniel's women's team also represents the Centennial Conference as a Team Scholar All-America program for the spring semester.
