Swim Teams Receive Scholar All-America Status

Both Washington College swim teams have been awarded Team Scholar All-America status for the Fall 2011 semester by the College Swimming Coaches Association. To qualify for the award, the team must finish with a team grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the fall semester.

The Washington College women's swim team recorded a team grade-point average of 3.29, while the Washington College men's swim team's grade-point average was 3.04. Dickinson was the only other Centennial Conference school with both its men's and women's teams qualifying for the honor. McDaniel's, Franklin & Marshall's, and Gettysburg's women's teams also represent the Centennial Conference as Team Scholar All-America programs for the fall semester.
