Shoremen Rowing Announces Captains

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Seniors Chris Eggstein (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) and Samson Ramasamy (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown), junior Alex Kincaid (Bowie, Md./DeMatha), and sophomore Brook Yimer (Arlington, Va./Wakefield) have been announced as the team captains for the Washington College men's rowing team as the Shoremen head into their spring season.

Eggstein was named to the 2017 All-Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Varsity Team and was named the Shoremen's Most Improved Rower in 2015. He has rowed in the Shoremen's first varsity eight since his freshman year and rowed in the varsity four at the 2016 IRA National Championships. He is a four-time Shoreman of the Week.

Ramasamy rejoined the team this fall after stepping away last spring. He rowed in the Shoremen's first varsity eight as a freshman and sophomore. He is a three-time Shoreman of the Week.

Kincaid qualified for the 2017 Academic All-MARC team and has been the coxswain of the Shoremen's first varsity eight since last season. He also served as coxswain in the varsity four at the 2016 IRA National Championships and is a three-time Shoreman of the Week.

Yimer stepped into the Shoremen's first varsity eight last year as a freshman and was named to the 2017 All-MARC Novice Team. He was also named the Shoremen's Most Improved Rower as a freshman. He earned his first Shoreman of the Week honor this past fall.
