Shoremen Finish Second in Two Races in Home Regatta

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The Washington College men's rowing team hosted its lone home regatta of the fall today on the Chester River, taking on fellow Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference member St. Mary's (Md.) as well as La Salle. La Salle won both the varsity eight and varsity four.

How It Happened
- La Salle won the varsity eight in 7:48.62. The Shoremen were second in 7:58.40, while St. Mary's was third in 8:04.12
- La Salle won the varsity four in 8:06.12. The Shoremen finished in 9:07.44. St. Mary's did not compete in the varsity four.

Notes
- Washington College head coach Larry Connell previously spent nine years as the head men's and women's rowing coach at La Salle.
- St. Mary's head coach Dan Hagelberg previously spent two years as the assistant men's rowing coach at Washington College.
