Freshman rower Anthony Pipolo was one of a number of Washington College students who attended a candlelight vigil outside the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, DC, held in memory of those killed during the protests in Egypt.

The vigil doubled as a rally in support of the protestors in Egypt. Pipolo reported chants of "We want democracy," "Down with Mubarak," and "Proud to be Egyptian." Pipolo noted that it was his first experience at such an event and that he "would do it again."
