The Washington College men's basketball team will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its first-ever game on December 8th and the Shoremen will be starting their second century of competition with a young team and just one returning starter back from their run to the 2012 Centennial Conference Semifinals.

Former Washington College basketball player Kevin Breslin '12 will be traveling the globe, playing against the world's winngest professional hoops team. Breslin signed a contract to play with the Washington Generals, the long-time opponent of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Basketball Teams Sweep Annual Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Awards
The Washington College men's and women's basketball teams have swept the male and female Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Awards. The Shoremen and Shorewomen were chosen among student-athletes and teams across the conference's 12 men's and 12 women's championship sports and will now be placed on the ballot for the NCAA National Sportsmanship Awards this summer.

Nugent, Flanigan Interviewed by ESPN for Upcoming Cory Weissman Feature
The inspirational story of Cory Weissman, the Gettysburg basketball player who returned from a stroke to score the only point of his collegiate career last Saturday, will be featured on ESPN's College Game Day on February 25th. As part of the story, ESPN interviewed Washington College head coach Rob Nugent and freshman guard Sean Flanigan today about their roles in a truly heart-moving tale.
