    Sophomore forward Dallas Marshall (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) registered his third double-double of the year with a team-best 17 points and a career-high 15 rebounds to lead all players to help host Washington College down visiting McDaniel, 67-62, on Wednesday night at the Cain Athletic Center in Centennial Conference men's basketball action.

    Visiting Washington College jumped out to an 18-point first half lead and held off a rally by host Shenandoah by going 8-for-8 from the foul line in the final 79 seconds to notch a 63-57 win on Monday night in a non-conference men’s basketball game at Shingleton Gymansium.  The Shoremen improve to 3-5 overall, while the Hornets slip to 3-3.

    Host Washington College overcame a 14-point second half deficit to force overtime and prevailed, 78-75, over visiting Cairn on Tuesday night in a non-conference men’s basketball game at the Cain Athletic Center.  The Shoremen improve to 2-3 with the win, while the Highlanders dropped to 2-2.
  • Bobcats Nip Shoremen in Overtime, 85-84

    Visiting Frostburg State’s Lawrence Pettis made the tying layup at the end of regulation to send it to overtime and made the game-winning lay-in with a tenth of a second left in overtime to give the guests an 85-84 overtime win over host Washington College on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference men’s basketball game at the Cain Athletic Center.

    ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Host Division I Navy defeated visiting Washington College 110-45 in a men’s basketball exhibition game for the Shoremen played today at Alumni Hall. The game was an exhibition for the Shoremen, but counted as a regular season game for the Midshipmen, who are now 3-2 on the year.

    Visiting #25 Swarthmore had four players score in double figures to overcome host Washington College, 79-70, on Tuesday night in a Centennial Conference men’s basketball game at the Cain Athletic Center.  It was the conference opener for both squads and also the home opener for the Shoremen.
  • Shoremen Notch First Win of Season In 80-58 Victory Versus Gophers

    Visiting Washington College picked up its first win of the season as they never trailed in an 80-58 win over host Goucher on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference men’s basketball game at the Decker SRC.  The 22-point victory is the largest margin of victory for an Aaron Goodman coached squad at Washington and is the team’s first victory of 20 or more since a 76-47 win at Haverford on December 3, 2013.

    Host Salisbury never trailed on its way to a 94-62 win over visiting Washington College on Wednesday night in a non-conference men’s basketball game at the Maggs Physical Activities Center.  It was the season opener for both teams.

    The 2016-17 Shoremen Basketball season had its moments.  The team swept Gettysburg for the first time ever and allowed its fewest points in a home game in 26 years versus McDaniel as the team improved by four wins overall and two victories in the Centennial Conference.  This season Washington College looks to build off of those blocks and take the next step toward becoming one of the upper echelon teams under third year head coach Aaron Goodman as the team looks to improve on its 7-18 overall record and 3-15 conference mark from a season ago with another young squad as 14 of the 17 players on the team are freshmen and sophomores.

    CARLISLE, Pa. — Host Dickinson got a career high 25 points from Bryce Allen and held off a late rally from visiting Washington College en route to a 78-64 win in a Centennial Conference men’s basketball game played this afternoon at the Kline Center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. It was also the season finale for the Shoremen.

    Host Washington College held visiting McDaniel to just 19 points in the second half to overcome a 25-20 halftime deficit on its way to a 49-44 victory on Wednesday evening in a Centennial Conference men’s basketball game at the Cain Athletic Center. The 44 points allowed by the Shoremen are the fewest allowed in a home game in 26 years when they allowed just 39 in an 88-39 triumph over Haverford on January 26, 1991.
