Thirteen from WC Named to
Centennial Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - A school-record 13 Washington College student-athletes have been named to the Centennial Conference's Academic Honor Roll for winter sports. To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior; a starter or key reserve on his or her team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.

Each of the four Washington College winter teams had at least three student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll. From the men's swimming team, seniors Brandon Becker (Jamison, PA/Central Bucks East) and Eddie Raleigh (Hanover, PA/Southwestern) each earned the distinction for the third year in a row, while senior Kevin McGarry (North Wildwood, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) landed on the Honor Roll for the second time.

Three of the four honorees from the women's swimming team made the Honor Roll for the first time - senior Samantha Blau (Ijamsville, MD/Urbana) and sophomores Krista Jensen (Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) and Liz Thomas (Towson, MD/Notre Dame Prep). Junior Anna Green (St. Louis, MO/Principia) made the Honor Roll for the second straight year.

Junior men's basketball player Todd Green (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood), who was named an ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District II first team selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America, earned a spot on the Honor Roll for the second year in a row. Teammates Bobby Klepacki (King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion) and James Restrepo (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing Area), both sophomores, joined Green on the Honor Roll.

Three-fifths of the starting line-up for the women's basketball team landed on the Honor Roll. Junior Brianne Slizofski (Collegeville, PA/St. Pius X) made the list for the second year in a row, while sophomores Jane O'Donnell (Cape May Court House, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) and Jessica Jamrogowicz (Marlton, NJ/Bishop Eustace) each earned the honor for the first time.
