March 29,
2009 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College men's rowing team won a pair of races against Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference rival Franklin & Marshall this morning on the Chester River. The Shoremen's "A" boat won the men's varsity eight in the closest finish of the day, crossing the line in 5:56 to second-place F&M's time of 6:01. The Shoremen's "B" boat finished third in 6:25. In the novice four, the Shoremen posted a winning time of 6:24 to the Diplomats' time of 6:51. Races were delayed one half hour due to heavy morning fog.
